Fast growing and does have an invasive root system so a root barrier is advised when planting this tree. Not advisable to plant near walkways, pools or structures. Will not tolerate freezing conditions.
A tree or large shrub with glossy bright green leaves and a smooth gray trunk and branches. Green gem has thicker leaves and they are more rounded at the tips than Ficus m. nitida. Resistant to Thrips.
